Volunteers Wanted for CHIR's growth

VOLUNTEERS WANTED

Now that CHIR has been on the air for 9 months and have eliminated most of the start up problems we are looking to upgrade what we do. In order to meet this objective we need to add some more volunteers. We are looking for people who can commit to 1 to 4 hours per week, on most weeks, according to your own schedule. Here are the positions we are looking for:

1. MARKETING: We are looking to increase our profile on Salt Spring and the other 4 gulf islands in our CRTC broadcast using a variety of outreach vehicles.
2. TRAINING: We would like to have a person who understands how our radio automation system works from a DJ and programmer perspective. This will facilitate our growth as we can train people launching new programs (about every 6 to 8 weeks) on a more timely basis.
3. AUTOMATION: We use a state of the market radio automation software package to run and broadcast from. Much of the syndicated programs and rebroadcasts require simple but powerful automated scripts to be written in order to play at the right time. This is NOT programming but does require digital savviness.
4. WEB: We have a web person currently but we want to expand the the content and quality of chir.fm so we need an additional person. Experience with web sites is an asset.
